How far would you go for the perfect hour glass figure? Geordie Shore's Holly
Hagan has embarked on a shocking new weight loss regime – Corseting, a practice
that involves wearing a tight corset for 23 hours a day, 7 days a week until it
moves her ribs & internal organs to leave a smaller waist.
“You breathe in & it’s really constricted, but if it
gets me a smaller waist in the end… Who doesn’t want to look like a cola
bottle?” Umm..
Her inspiration? Kim Kardashian who's waist size measures 26 inches.
Kim Kardashian
"Everybody loves Kim Kardashian’s waist, so I looked
into it & corsets work perfectly as you can see."

“Yeah, it moves your
ribs if you do it too often. But it isn’t dangerous. I only want to lose a bit
– don’t think it would touch the organs. I don’t do it to the extreme”
I beg to differ Holly, & so do the doctors slamming the
trend, saying it could potentially be very dangerous - if abdominal muscles are
compressed, the diaphragm moves & can cause respiratory problems & low
blood pressure.
Holly didn't consult a doctor before she embarked on this ridiculous regime. In her opinion, she’s decided that the end result is
worth it to get that ‘cola bottle figure’ of a 21 inch waist that currently measures
26.5 inches.
Internal organ damage
Holly explained: "I'd like to be 24 inch but that's like
Victoria's Secret models. Maybe 25.5 inch? I think it comes down to the fact
you're restricted in eating as well. It restricts your food intake - you feel
full up because if your belly expands you feel uncomfortable."
I'm sorry Holly, but there's nothing sexy about this...
This however is
Personally, having worn a corset for just an hour on a photo
shoot, I felt relieved to take it off. I’d rather run the legs off myself than
go through this agonising painful process.
