Your shopping spirit might be feeling a little low with the weather we're having,
but today's blog post will be just the restorative tonic you need that's worthy
of conversation.
Fashion shifts to the edgier end of the scale this coming
season with all things abstract. Fantasy florals & geometric shapes are
making a strong statement & becoming one of the key dominating trends this
S/S14 in bright hues of pink, purple & green, shocking the eye.
It’s all about the head to toe look right now, print on
print. Don’t be afraid to change it up, if you want to wear different prints,
just keep flow going by choosing prints in the same colour. Abstract tops, skirts
& leggings are some of the pieces that can be teamed with more basic items,
stifling the competition between the two.
Designers Just Cavalli, & Peter Pilotto to name but a
few, gave us healthy dose of abstract prints on the S/S14 catwalk. For me
though, it’s designer Emilio Pucci who do it best mixing a bright Masai pattern
with monochrome, strutting into summer with a confident street vibe.

The Pucci
crest becomes a tough medallion on the boxing belt, but River Island is right
up there with him with their Technicolor ‘Kaleidohype’ collection inspired by
the designer himself. The monochrome & mix-up of colours in abstract
shapes make for a wow factor outfit.
Classic staples like the bomber jacket & the chevron print t-shirt dress, all feature in the capsule collection, but my favourite is the pencil skirt. It’s got ‘MINE’ written all over it!

Put a little geometry into your wardrobe, consider a standout
piece sure to last you for years to come.
