Just to add further confusion to all things ending in ‘ings’,
I’ve been shopping & bought a pair of jacquard trousers some of you will be
familiar with – Treggings.
What are treggings?..
Treggings look like trousers with a fit & shape of
leggings, but are made from thicker fabric so they can be worn on their own.
With all these fashion terms thrown around, do you know the
difference?
Leggings are made from a blend of lycra, spandex, nylon,
cotton or polyester, so they’re quite tight fitting & can be worn under a
longer tunic/jumper.
Jeggings are modelled off the style of skinny jeans. Since
jeggings are typically made of a denim/spandex blend, they are often worn on
their own as opposed to under a tunic. Jeggings are great if you like the look
of jeans but prefer the stretch & feel of leggings.
Topshop have a great selection of treggings in all sorts of
prints & textures. My favourite pick.
